Baton Rouge police responded to a weekend burglary at a pawn shop and arrested Antonio Thomas, 17,  at the scene.   Thomas apparently told police that “the reason the burglary was being done was to harm police officers,”  but provided no specifics about any plans to carry out such a plot.

o were arrested later and a fourth is still at large.  The burglars appeared to have entered the pawn shop through the roof.  Surveillance video caught the four suspects using a ladder to climb to the roof.  All the suspects are black and live in Baton Rouge.

Malik Bridgewater, 20, and a 13-year-old boy whose name is being withheld, were arrested later.  All three face charges of burglary and theft.  No charges related to plotting to kill police have been filed as of yet.

The fourth burglary suspect has been urged to turn himself in.

Trashone Coats, 23,  was arrested for allegedly purchasing two of the stolen guns.  He has not been linked to burglary itself or the alleged plot, according to police.

Eight guns were stolen during the burglary.  Six have been recovered.
