Two months after her husband moved into the White House, First Lady Melania Trump is still living in the Trump Tower.  She says she and her 11-year-old son Barron Trump plan on staying there until the school year is up– at a cost of $126,000 – $147,000 a day.  That’s the cost of security for the two members of the First Family, and it is being paid by American taxpayers at a time when her husband is taking money out of programs like the National Institutes of Health ($5.8 billion), the Department of Education ($9 billion), and 60 others.
That’s why more than half a million people have signed a petition demanding that the First Lady get out of Trump Tower and move into the White House with her husband. Â Or use her own checkbook to pay those huge expenses.
The petition, which was started two weeks ago, is on Change.org, has a goal of reaching one million supporters.  The plan is to deliver it to Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren once the goal has been reached.
