PHILADELPHIA — It’s official. Hillary Rodham Clinton has won the Democratic Party’s nomination for president of the United States, becoming the first woman to lead a major-party ticket. As the DNC winds down tonight, the battle for the presidency against Donald Trump begins in earnest.

“What an incredible honor you have given me,” Hillary Clinton said. “We just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet.”

Not everyone was happy, though. Some Sanders supporters walked out in protest over her selection as the Democratic nominee.

Convention attendees were largely emotional and exuberant over the selection. Sanders vowed to ensure that his “political revolution” continues.
