The husband and wife cardiologists who built a hospital

4 September 2015 Last updated at 11:52 BST

Doctor Dan and Dr Betty Gikonyo are a husband and wife team of cardiologists who dreamt of building their own hospital in Kenya. After over 10 years of knocking on many doors, they finally found the $14m (£9m) needed to build the Karen Hospital in Nairobi.

The BBC’s Lerato Mbele spent an afternoon visiting the facility and chatted with Dr Betty Gikonyo, the hospital’s chief executive, for Africa Business Report.
